We love creating unforgettable wedding days for every couple who celebrates with us, but it is especially meaningful when one of our own chooses to say “I do” here. Michelle Mesunas, a member of our accounting team and former front desk agent, experienced the wedding journey from both sides. From welcoming couples on their arrival day to seeing each detail come together behind the scenes, Michelle had a unique perspective when planning her own celebration at The Belle of Blue Bell. 

Michelle and Tom also utilized several of our on-site vendors, including Willow & Thistle, Hitched Productions, and The Farmer’s Daughter Restaurant, helping to create a seamless and stress-free experience from start to finish. 

With her behind-the-scenes knowledge, Michelle shared that choosing Normandy Farm was an easy decision. “Having behind the scenes knowledge, it was an easy choice! Through working at Normandy, I had a unique perspective into what it meant to choose this as our wedding venue. The dedication of the entire team, in every department, to make every couple feel special was always clear. Even if there are 3 weddings in a day, each one is made a priority. I knew having our wedding here would be no different.” 

Reflecting on the planning process, Michelle described the experience as seamless and well-supported from start to finish. “My planning experience turned out to be so easy! I wasn't sure what to expect when it came to planning my wedding, it seemed like a dauting task. The event planning team was here to walk me through the process step-by-step. The Normandy [and Belle] team as a whole ensured that every detail was thought of to make sure our day was perfect. It was!” 

When it came to bringing their vision to life, Michelle and Tom shared that the space exceeded their expectations. “The space came together beautifully. We envisioned a wedding that was classic and timeless. It felt elegant, exactly how we wanted our wedding day to be.”

Their focus on creating an elegant and timeless atmosphere was reflected in every detail throughout the day. “We wanted our wedding to feel elegant and timeless, and our day was just that. The Belle of Blue Bell as our venue helped create the atmosphere we wanted for our wedding day, and Willow and Thistle did a great job with our flowers and decor. Our sweetheart table was perfect. It provided a space for my husband and I to enjoy our dinner together, just the two of us. We also had fun choosing our signature drinks for our guests to enjoy.” 

Looking back, there were several standout moments that made the day unforgettable. “Walking into our reception and seeing everything come together, and all of our family and friends there waiting to celebrate with us was something we will always remember. Our Maitre'd was so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed all night, she was never far away. The DJ was so much fun as well, he kept our guests entertained all night!” 

The experience extended to their guests as well, who shared overwhelmingly positive feedback throughout the celebration. “All of our guests had a wonderful time. They loved the venue, the food, and the service!” 

When asked what they would tell a friend considering Normandy Farm, Michelle emphasized how smooth and enjoyable the process was. “Planning my wedding was made to be easy and fun. Having my photographer and florist onsite made everything flow seamlessly as well. Having worked for Normandy Farm for several years, I see the care and details they put into events. Even though I am an employee, the team kept their professionalism and made me feel special on my wedding day.” 

To sum up their experience, Michelle shared, “Our wedding day was truly a magical experience that created memories we will always have.”
